A deeper look at how Markham conditions shape the electrical work owners actually need.

Electrical service upgrades in Markham have become the most common planned electrical project for three converging reasons. First, EV charger adoption is accelerating in a city where technology sector workers are among the earliest adopters of electric vehicles. A Level 2 charger draws 48 amps on a dedicated 60 amp breaker, and a home with a 100 amp panel serving a forced air furnace, central AC, an electric range, and a dishwasher has essentially no headroom for that load. Homes that had attic insulation added without that assessment are a specific risk: knob and tube conductors rely on air cooling and overheat when buried in insulation. An ESA inspection identifies the extent of remaining knob and tube and recommends remediation by section, which can be phased across multiple years to match an owner's capital budget.
